Key Facts - Home Loans Malaysia
Malaysian banks typically approve home loans where total monthly debt commitments do not exceed 70% of net income (Debt Service Ratio). Banks assess both CCRIS and CTOS scores. A CTOS score above 697 significantly improves approval chances. Home loan stamp duty of 0.5% still applies even under first-time buyer exemptions. Maximum loan tenure is 35 years or until age 70, whichever is earlier.
