Yes. Canopy launched a similar product in the UK. TurboTenant has it in the US. Nobody has done this in Malaysia or Southeast Asia until Tanpa Ejen. This will be genuinely the first time Malaysian rent payments can be reported to CTOS as positive credit history. RentCredit is currently in development — join the waitlist to be notified at launch.
Your landlord needs to use Tanpa Ejen as the platform for rent collection. This is free for landlords. Once they are set up and you have joined via their invite, RentCredit is activated with one checkbox. Ask your landlord to sign up at tanpaejen.com.my.
Each payment is submitted to CTOS within the same month. CTOS updates reports within 30 days. You should see your first trade reference appear after 1 to 2 months. Meaningful score improvement is typically visible after 6 months of consistent payments and significant after 12 months.
Yes. RentCredit is free for tenants who pay rent through Tanpa Ejen. There is no subscription or setup fee. The only cost is if you choose to use premium tenant features.
